Integral Equations of Fields on the Rotating Black Hole

چکیده
It is known that the radial equation of the massless fields with spin around Kerr black holes cannot be solved by special functions. Recently, the analytic solution was obtained by use of the expansion in terms of the special functions and various astrophysical application have been discussed. It was pointed out that the coefficients of the expansion by the confluent hypergeometric functions are identical to those of the expansion by the hypergeometric functions. We explain the reason of this fact by using the integral equations of the radial equation. It is shown that the kernel of the equation can be written by the product of confluent hypergeometric functions. The integral equaton transforms the expansion in terms of the confluent hypergeometric functions to that of the hypergeometric functions and vice versa, which explains the reason why the expansion coefficients are universal. e-mail address: [email protected] e-mail address: [email protected]

Complex Instantons and Charged Rotating Black Hole Pair Creation
We consider the general process of pair-creation of charged rotating black holes. We find that instantons which describe this process are necessarily complex due to regularity requirements. However their associated probabilities are real, and fully consistent with the interpretation that the entropy of a charged rotating black hole is the logarithm of the number of its quantum states. Black hol...
متن کاملLinear Waves in the Kerr Geometry: a Mathematical Voyage to Black Hole Physics
This paper gives a survey of wave dynamics in the Kerr spacetime geometry, the mathematical model of a rotating black hole in equilibrium. After a brief introduction to the Kerr metric, we review the separability properties of linear wave equations for fields of general spin s = 0, 1 2 , 1, 2, corresponding to scalar, Dirac, electromagnetic fields and linearized gravitational waves. We give res...
متن کاملGravitational fields of rotating disks and black holes
The two known exact solutions of Einstein’s field equations describing rotating objects of physical significance – a black hole and a rigidly rotating disk of dust – are discussed using a single mathematical framework related to Jacobi’s inversion problem. Both solutions can be represented in such a form that they differ in the choice of a complex parameter and a real solution of the axisymmetr...
متن کاملRotating charged Black Holes in Einstein-Born-Infeld theories and their ADM mass
In this work, the solution of the Einstein equations for a slowly rotating black hole with Born-Infeld charge is obtained. Geometrical properties and horizons of this solution are analyzed. The conditions when the ADM mass (as in the nonlinear static cases) and the ADM angular momentum of the system have been modified by the non linear electromagnetic field of the black hole, are considered.
متن کاملMotion of charged particles around a rotating black hole in a magnetic field
We study the effects of an external magnetic field, which is assumed to be uniform at infinity, on the marginally stable circular motion of charged particles in the equatorial plane of a rotating black hole. We show that the magnetic field has its greatest effect in enlarging the region of stability towards the event horizon of the black hole. Using the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism we obtain the b...
